For Adults

Living in community is so important! A great next step for you would be to join a community group! Community Groups meet throughout the week all over the metro. We also have vibrant Men's and Women's Ministries that we would love for you to consider!

What to Expect

From the moment you drive onto the AFC property, you'll feel welcomed and loved. When you arrive, stop by the welcome desk in the lobby and they can answer any questions you have about anything on a Sunday morning. Make sure you grab our fresh brewed coffee from Porch Light Coffee House in our cafe. The service will be around an hour and is filled with powerful, encouraging worship music and engaging bible centered preaching.

Safety Protocols

  • Our facilities staff has enhanced their cleaning and sanitization efforts, including between weekend services.
  • Ample handwashing and sanitization stations are available throughout our buildings.
  • No offering baskets are being passed at in-person services.
  • Pre-packaged communion kits are being distributed at services where communion takes place.

For Kids - Ankeny Free Kids Ministry

At Ankeny Free, we want you to know that your children are highly valued by God and by us. We provide care and classrooms for infants-5th grade during our 9:30 and 11 AM Sunday services. Children experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in creative and relevant ways. We have fun!

We also offer a vibrant Wednesday night kids program during the school year for kids ages 3 through 5th grade. During this time kids hear a story/lesson from the Bible, meet in small groups with their adult leader (all background checked), and play interactive games.

For Youth - Ankeny Free Student Ministry

The middle and high school years are some of the most formative times in a students life. We want the Student Ministry of Ankeny Free Church to be a safe place where our students can discover a real and life changing relationship with Jesus Christ, challenging them to accept God’s purpose for their lives, equipping them to grow in spiritual discernment as they face life’s challenges, and sending them to reach the lost with the gospel of Christ. Ankeny Free Students meet on Sunday evenings in the worship center from 6pm-7:30pm. Ankeny Free Students gather on Sunday nights from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in the Worship Center. All students are welcomed to a safe and friendly space. Sunday nights consist of a time of coorperate worship, bible-based and relevant teaching, community groups with some food and fun thrown in!
