“14One” meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday nights from 7-8:30 PM in the Student Center gym and will be studying the book of Hebrews using the guide, “Better,” by Jen Wilkin. For any age or stage of life! Begins Oct. 13. Learn more and join here
Our Tuesday Morning Bible Study is for any age and any stage of life. We’ll be studying the book of 1 Corinthians where we see that the issues facing the Corinthian church are little different from the ones your church struggles with now. Here is a portrait of Christian community not as it was meant to be, but as it often really is. But here too is practical advice for overcoming the challenges of life together. Join us on Tuesday mornings, 10-11 AM. Join us on Zoom. Facilitator: Karen Longnecker, cost: $8.00. Learn more and join here
“Titus2women” is a group for women with kids still in the home - no matter what age! Meeting on Tuesdays, 9-10:30 AM in the Student Center. We’ll work through the book of Jude and see how the book remains as relevant today as the time it was written. God has commanded His beloved church to do the necessary work of contending for the faith in a world of unbelief, and as we do, He will keep us from falling into the same deception. We’ll grow through small accountability groups, working through the passages at home, and having prayer together. Childcare is provided for $2.00 per child, $1.00 additional children. JOY “Jesus’ Older Youth” meets Wednesday mornings, beginning Sept. 23, from 10-11:30am in the Worship Center conference room. We’ll be looking at the second half of the book of Colossians and then study Philemon until mid-Dec. We resume again in March 2021. Learn more and join here.
Moms in Prayer
Moms come together to pray for an hour each week for their children, using scripture to help guide our prayers. It is one of the most important appointments we have on the calendar. We meet in the Fireside Room in the Student Center at 6pm on Thursdays, starting Oct. 15. Learn more and join here.
My Moms In Prayer story: When my oldest son, now age 25, was entering middle school I realized the need to pray for him more urgently. In my community newsletter, I found that there was a Moms In Prayer group in my town. I saw so many prayers answered for my children! I prayed for all three of my children for several years. Then we moved across the country. I was bitter with God. I didn't find a prayer group and I got busy with a new career. For the past couple of years, God has put it on my heart to start a group. Today, my two older sons are following God but my daughter is a prodigal. My heart is broken daily. But I know what I am to do: PRAY. He is faithful. I am a broken mom and I invite other moms from every age, stage and circumstance to join. Leader Stacy Sickmiller: For more information: www.momsinprayer.org
